Will my lights work?

Search for your lamp. You'll see what Pulsyn does with it in every DMX mode – and the channels in order, so you can hold them up against the chart in your lamp's manual.

Reading the list

Full colour: The lamp mixes red, green and blue. Every note colour comes out as it is.
Colour wheel: Spots with a white LED and a wheel of coloured glass. Pulsyn turns the wheel to the colour closest to your note – a red note gives the red slot.
White only: Brightness, strobe and movement work; the colour doesn't change.
Held off: Channels Pulsyn doesn't play – gobos, programmes, sound mode, reset – are held where they do nothing, so the lamp never runs its own show in the middle of a song.

Pick the same mode in Pulsyn Simulator (Rig tab → Add light → search) as you set on the lamp. The mode is usually called something like “7CH” in the lamp's menu.
